Once you leave the rental company should take the road called Turnpike (now " Ronald Reagan Turnpike " ) . The road is very well preserved which will take you from Miami to Orlando in 400 (four hundred ) miles , along the way you will pass through some tolls . The Turnpike has only two (02 ) senses : N ( North ) or S ( South ) , and from Miami to Orlando to take direction " N " from Orlando to Miami and take direction " S " .

Of metropolitan Miami to Fort Lauderdale , three tolls along the way , each priced at $ 1.00. There are three (03 ) types of " box " to pay the toll :

- The first one only accepts payment in coins ( quarters ) , just throw them in the basket and move on , it is necessary to have the exact amount. This type of " box" can be found in algunas Turnpike exits ;

- The second is the Sun Pass , you should not go no way unless you have a vehicle with automatic call accounting toll ; and

- The third , has 01 ( one) box, where you will be met by an employee who will give you the change if you do not have coins.

After going through the tolls mentioned ( 03 - Three - of metropolitan Miami to Fort Lauderdale ) , you have only two (02 ) options : - Sun Pass (do not enter this queue at all , as we talked about anteriormte ) ; and , - The TKT ( from that queue ) where you will draw a card with an employee who should be paid only when you get off the road , or when you exit the Turnpike in Orlando , you will see a " box" with TKT inscriptions , it is that you will pay proportionately the mileage you ran on the road ( costs around U.S. $ 13.80 ) .

Tip Crescenti 's friend Antonio : The Turnpike is just a straight , and every 45 ( qurenta five) miles you will find " plazas " ( cafeterias, restaurants , shops , gas stations , etc. ) . Note that these charts are always located in the middle of the road , and give access to the two senses of the Turnpike . So when you go out remember: - If you are going from Orlando to Miami look for the "South Exit" ; and if you are going from Miami to Orlando use the " North Exit" .
